Junior Summer Recreational

Please note that we will adapt all programs to comply with provincial orders & public health guidelines related to COVID-19 as required throughout the season.
The summer session will offer the opportunity for returning athletes to build on what they learned & the fitness they gained during the spring session or will provide new athletes the opportunity to explore various track events & begin their journey to a higher level of fitness.
Athletes will be grouped according to interests, abilities and goals. Programs are general in nature & age/ability appropriate.
Recreational athletes will have the opportunity to work towards their specific athletic goals but will not be streamed into specialized training in any one particular discipline. They will not compete, however, coaches may offer a recreational athlete the opportunity to compete if they feel that an athlete is ready and that the experience will be beneficial.
Junior recreational athletes will be registered as a non-competitive member of AO for the 2022 outdoor season.
The program is 8 weeks in duration. Recreational athletes are free to choose how many & which workouts they participate in.
1 ) up to 3 weekly coached workouts
2 ) group training with other athletes,
3 ) ongoing progress review & feedback from our coaches,
4 ) MTA &/or AO non-competitive membership
