Changes to the schedule are at the discretion of the coaches.
The summer session will offer the opportunity for returning athletes to build on what they learned during the spring session or offer new athletes the opportunity to explore various track events from sprints to mid distances along with hurdles & high jump if interested.
Athletes will be grouped according to interests, abilities and goals. Programs are age/ability appropriate but integrated where possible to take advantage of group training dynamics.
Recreational athletes will be trained to achieve their specific athletic goals. They will not compete, however, coaches may offer a recreational athlete the opportunity to compete if they feel that an athlete is ready and that the experience will be beneficial.
All athletes must be a member of Minor Track or Athletics Canada for insurance purposes. Athletes will be registered as a non-competitive 310 Running member of MTA or AC for the 2019 season.
Program is 8 weeks in duration. Recreational athletes are free to choose how many & which workouts they participate in.
1 ) up to 4 weekly coached workouts
2 ) group training with other athletes,
3 ) ongoing progress review & feedback from our Head Coach,
4 ) an AC or MTA non-competitive membership
5 ) a 310 Running T-shirt
