Please see ‘Workouts‘ page for locations & times.
Changes to the schedule are at the discretion of the coaches.
The principal focus of the spring session will be running but athletes will also have the opportunity to explore hurdles & high jump if interested.
This is ideal for athletes who are new to track & field or athletes who simply want to cross train to improve their overall speed, strength and stamina. Programs are age/ability appropriate but integrated where possible to take advantage of group training dynamics.
Recreational athletes will be trained to achieve their specific athletic goals. They will not compete, however, coaches may offer a recreational athlete the opportunity to compete if they feel that an athlete is ready and that the experience will be beneficial.
All athletes must be a member of Minor Track or Athletics Canada for insurance purposes. Athletes will be registered as a non-competitive 310 Running member of MTA or AC for the 2019 season.
Program is 8 weeks in duration. Recreational athletes are free to choose how many & which workouts they participate in.
1 ) up to 4 weekly coached workouts
2 ) group training with other athletes,
3 ) ongoing progress review & feedback from our Head Coach,
4 ) an AC or MTA non-competitive membership
5 ) a 310 Running T-shirt
