NEW THIS YEAR!
The winter recreational session is designed to introduce younger athletes to track & field training in a fun & age/ability appropriate manner.
The program is focused on building the overall fitness, strength & technical acuity required by track & field athletes. Athletes will acquire foundational movement skills through sport specific exercises, activation drills & games.
Recreational athletes will have the opportunity to work towards their specific athletic goals but will not be streamed into specialized training in any one particular discipline. They will not compete, however, coaches may offer a recreational athlete the opportunity to compete if they feel that an athlete is ready and that the experience will be beneficial.
Junior athletes will be registered as a non-competitive member of AO for the 2023 outdoor season.
Program is 8 weeks in duration. Recreational athletes are free to choose how many & which workouts they participate in.
1 ) up to 3 weekly coached workouts
2 ) group training with other athletes,
3 ) ongoing progress review & feedback from our coaches,
4 ) AO non-competitive membership
