310 Running Golden at Provincials
310 Running’s Mite Girls earned the club’s first ever Provincial team gold with a dominant effort at the MTA Provincial Cross Country Championships held in King City on October 30.
The girls scored an incredible 12 points to take top honours. Charlotte Barber landed on the podium with an individual silver. Siena Stambolich and Addyson Proulx were close behind with 4th and 6th place finishes respectively.
The Tyke Boys team proved to be a force as well by taking the team silver with a spectacular 33 points. Karson Proulx led the way by winning an individual bronze. Following Karson were Nicholas Falconi in 9th, Christian Hill in 21st and Matthew Falconi in 25th.
Jamie Skimming Earns Gold & Bronze at ROPSSAA
Following on the heels of her 3 straight gold medals in Junior Girls Triple Jump this season, Jamie Skimming continued her winning ways with a dramatic final jump gold medal at ROPSSAA.
Jamie, competing for the Humberview Huskies, set yet another PB by jumping 10.73M in her 6th & final jump of the meet.
Skimming capped off her ROPSSAA experience by clearing 1.50M in the high jump to capture her second medal of the meet; this time a bronze. She also placed 6th in the long jump.
With her efforts at ROPSSAA, Jamie scored an outstanding 18.5 points for the Humberview Huskies team.
She will next compete in the triple jump & high jump at the South Regionals in St. Catherines.
310 Running On the Podium at Indoor Meets
310 Running started it’s indoor season at the Burlington/Guelph Indoor Meet on February 7th. In the Mite girls division Addyson Proulx started the day with a silver medal in the 400M race & then followed up with an 8th place finish in the 200M sprint. Nicole Skimming finished 8th in the Senior girls 800M event. Karson Proulx earned more hardware for 310 Running by winning bronze in both the Tyke boys 800M & 1500M races. Atom boys, Justin Iantorno & Dylan Proulx came 12th & 16th respectively in the 200M sprint with Dylan also placing 8th in the long jump. Joshua D’Eri took on the very competitive Senior boys 60M & 200M sprints finishing 20th in the 60 & 19th in the 200.
At the Brampton Indoor Meet held on February 13th, 310 Running tasted gold for the first time with sibling sensations Addyson & Karson Proulx taking the gold medal in the Mite girls & Tyke boys 800M events respectively. Dylan Proulx was steady in the Atom boys long jump matching his 8th place finish from the week before.
The final Minor Track race of the year was the MTA Indoor Provincial Championships held on February 28th. The mighty Mite girls, Siena Stambolich & Addyson Proulx rocked the meet. Siena came away with gold medals in both the 400M & 800M races while Addyson was close on her heels winning the bronze & the silver in the same 2 events. Nicole Skimming finished 13th in the Senior girls 800M race & then went on to land 5th in her first long jump competition of the year. Karson Proulx added to his medal count by earning bronze in both the Tyke boys 800M & 1500M races. In the Atom boys division, Davis Stambolich came 6th in the 1500M race, Dylan Proulx placed 9th in the 60M sprint & 5th in shot put & Justin Iantorno finished 8th & 14th in the long jump & 200M sprint. Senior boy, Joshua D’Eri posted 18th & 25th finishes in the 60M & 200M races.
